Our first meeting experience! Yesterday, the day we arrived we thought it was best to get straight into it, and go to the meeting. It was raining so hard, although the rain is really warm. We started walking. We had asked about the halls location and looked on a map so we had a ruff idea, about 1 mile from where we are staying. A quote from the brother later said – its an island, you can’t get lost if you hit water go left or right. So we walked down a dark road, some light from houses and our touches. We heard the dogs barking and some other really unusual noises…let you know what these are later when we know :-). But we had to watch where we stepped as the whole sand road was flooded and we were trying to weave and balance on dry islands. Nearly at the end of the road, we realised we couldn’t get through and headed all the way back with muddy feet. Jehovah must have heard some prayers as we were almost back at our accommodation when here comes a brother in a golf cart who thought we were the new family. We jump in and headed off. But still got totally soaked by the time we reached the meeting …

It was such an awesome, warm, and welcoming congregation of about 22 people including us. The weather did hold back a few families from coming though. We are looking forward to meeting them. One sister said the ministry is very very good. Can’t wait to join them in the ministry and looking forward to the next meeting…
