Today Bronwyn and I tried cart witnessing on the north of the island with a local brother and sister (Angelo&Melanie). After collecting the witnessing cart and loading it onto the golf cart along with a couple of plastic chairs we headed to the north side of the island this afternoon. The island is divided into a North and South side with a simple Toll bridge in the middle which costs 5 Belize Dollars to cross each time (About £1.50). Although cart witnessing has successfully been done on the South side , it was the first time for the North. We were hoping to catch workers going home from construction sites after work. As most of them travel by Bicycle , we had a brother posted 100m up the road greeting the cyclists and telling them about the literature cart up ahead as they passed. This worked wonders and many stopped to have a look at the witnessing cart, where the other brothers and sisters told them more. All in all , in less than 2 hours we had placed 19 Books, 16 Brochures and had many fine discussions. Unfortunately, the bugs got the better of us and by 5pm(as the main workforce was coming along 😦 ) we had to pack-up and leave or face being eaten alive, besides our witnessing cart was getting quite empty.
