Experiencing the Mainland

What a memorable weekend. I ( Jess) was invited by a sister in the congregation to join her on the mainland for 4 days. We took the boat from San Pedro to Corozal, which runs only once a day. If you miss it, you miss it, and have to wait till tomorrow to catch it again. The journey took 2 hours. It was beautiful!

We arrived in Corozal and met the family and some brothers and sisters. Truly seeing what a world wide brotherhood is about.

On Saturday, we joined the local congregation in field service. Below are a few pictures. It was very nice to experience as well as seeing the town and surrounding area where we were working. Saturday afternoon, I loved getting to know the family and ate a delicious traditional Belizean meal.

On Sunday, we went to the meeting and explored the town. Trying there meat pies out. I am a huge meat pie fan! Belize does the best you will ever taste.

On Monday, we went to another local town about 1 hour by bus – Orange Walk! Orange walk is known famously by Belizeans for there Tacos!! They even have Taco festivals. So of course, we needed to try them out!! Yes, they were great!! The town itself was big and bustling with markets and shops and people and stray dogs! We met some brothers and sisters there too witnessing on the Cart!
