On Wednesday we visited the island of Caye Caulker which is 30min by boat from San Pedro. The island is only 5miles long and up to a mile wide. On the island is a beautiful pink kingdom hall where 2 congregations (English and Spanish) meet. When we arrived we decided the best way to explore the island would be by bicycle and it was not long before we spotted some friendly brothers and sisters in the ministry. We met a lovely couple who have just moved onto the island to assist as need greaters . There was only a single elder in the congregation and now they have 2. The English congregation has 28 publishers and about 50 attend meetings. We spent the afternoon looking around the island which is stunning and full of brightly coloured homes and then spent some time at the split which is canal that separates the island into 2 and where people swim and relax at the lizard beach bar. I’ve been following some of your blog, and it’s obvoius from your smiles, comments, pictures and experiences that you’re hapving a fantastic time. The friends and memories that you take with you will stay with you forever. Throwing yourself in Jehovah’s service is really the best way of life. I sooooo wish I could do what you guys are doing! Reminds me of the song the brother plays on his guitar, on jw.org “This is the best life ever.”
