We continue to have a wonderful time in the ministry.
About 3 weeks ago Jess started a study with a lovely young lady. She soon found out that she had recently got married a month ago and today Jess was pleased when both her and her husband attended their first meeting in San Pedro. They had previously been to one on the mainland.
Last week Nikita approached a man named Billy , sitting on the beach. She has an amazing chat with him and he asks how he can find out more. At that stage, I was in a nearby park and she comes to me and says there is a man on the beach that wants to study. So back to the beach we went to meet Billy – A return visit after 10min 🙂 . It was immediately obvious that he had a love for the Bible and wants to know more. We explained how a study works, showed him a video and  arranged to meet alternate days at 11am on the beach  – That’s if he is available as many here get work at very short notice for the day.  Now glad to  report that Billy has now had 3 studies already (yes all on the beach) and we meet again on Tuesday……
Bronwyn’s favourite return visit is to a manager of a small nursery on the island.  She loves the fact that she is called ‘mum’  by all the younger locals out of respect , including the manager.  Explaining the scripture in Psalm 37:10,11 has on a number of occasions  brought the same response  – “What does meek mean ?”. This is so ironic as the majority of local Belizians are the nicest, friendliest and humble people you could ever meet. The manager in turn mentioned that the term ‘exquisite’ in the scripture reminded him of the beauty of his favourite flower a Hibiscus. And when you see these beautiful flowers around the island you appreciate Jehovah’s wonderful creation. This week we are hoping to start studying the good news brochure with him as there are simply no Bible teach books available.(Any have some, please send to Belize)
Oh yes, and fishing from the piers has become my favourite place for incidental witnessing. Usually a local will arrive, sit down next to me….we chat about the weather, the fishing , the island and eventually they ask why I’m here and that’s the ‘hook, line and sinker’ I was waiting for … a few fish and hours later they have heard about the kingdom. More recently some now ask “how is your mission ?” 🙂

Such amazing experiences. We love reading about your adventures, but not half as much as you are enjoying actually BEING there! Wow.
