Moving to the Mainland of Belize

Nikita and I moved from the island to the mainland of Belize. We had our assembly in Orange Walk on the 28th February.

We stayed in Corozal which is the northeast town in Belize, boarding Chetumal -Mexico. We traveled with a family in our congregation and stayed with them at their families house in Corozal from the Saturday to the Tuesday.

On Saturday we walked around town and visited the market and drank fresh coconut water while looking at the fresh produce. We also had home made coconut ice cream from a street vendor which is delicious!!!!!! (and 30p for 2 scoops)

On Sunday we went with the congregation bus in Corozal to our assembly in Orange Walk. One hour ride. It was nice to meet the different friends. The assembly was held in a local town hall with 390 in attendance. Below are some pictures.

On Tuesday, we left for our journey to Cayo Belize. We will talk about that on the next blog post. To get there we left at 9:30 on the local bus to the city. We arrived at the city at 12:30. We said goodbye to our friends who left to go back to the island and we took the next bus.

We arrived in Cayo at 3:45. The journey was beautiful but hott!!

  1. Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I definitely are encouraged to see such joy in your words and pictures. Looking forward to do what you’re doing soon. How is the Kriol Congregation doing?
