We have put this blog together to keep all our friends updated on our family adventure over the coming months. Although always an aim to be more involved in the ministry , we have truly seen Jehovah’s hand in all our endeavours this year as long overdue plans have come together to make it possible to  become ‘Need Greaters’ in Belize.  We would like  to say thank-you for all your support and encouragement and we truly hope you can post comments back and keep in touch  via ‘anticlockwize’.

So where are we going ?

Our trip takes us via New York where we are spending a few days , onto Atlanta stopover and then to Belize. From Belize city we  take a water taxi across to Ambergris Caye which takes about an hour and a half to our final destination of San Pedro.

Ambergris Caye and San Pedro

Ambergris Caye  is the largest island of Belize located northeast of the country in the Caribbean sea. The caye is about 40 kilometres  long from north to south, and about 1.6 kilometres  wide. It was named after large lumps of ambergris which washed ashore here. Its mostly a ring of white sand beach around a mangrove swamp in the centre.  A number of other cayes can be reached by boat. San Pedro is the largest settlement and only town on Ambergris. There are also a number of small villages and resorts.
